The Ancor Red/Black 8/2 AWG Flat Duplex Cable is a 100-foot length in a common jacket with Type 3 Class K stranding.
Red and black in 8 gauge duplex suits a boat already wired to the traditional convention, matching what is there rather than introducing a second scheme. The red and yellow version of the same cable follows current ABYC practice, and both are stocked because both situations are common.
Eight gauge covers higher-current DC circuits where both conductors run together to one device. The flat shape keeps the cable close against panels and bulkheads, which matters more at this gauge than on light wiring.
The outer jacket strips easily while providing strong abrasion resistance. Type 3 Class K ultra-flexible stranding resists fatigue from vibration and repeated flexing, and the internal conductors use Ancor’s tinned copper with premium vinyl insulation. Explore more duplex and triplex cable.
