A frog and a hedgehog enjoy a day on the river in the Kevin Hawkes illustration on this box of six oversized tricolored pencils. Their extra-fat, color-streaked cores allow you to draw with bits of three harmonious colors at once — red/brown/yellow, blue/pink/purple, and yellow/gold/tan, as well as three shades of pink, three blues, and three greens — resulting in rich variations in your lines and colored-in areas. Measuring 7 inches long, the pencils are hexagonal, making them easier to grip and also less apt to roll away than round pencils, and the set includes a sharpener for oversized pencils.
