Bounce 2 is a kids’ smartwatch with its own LTE connection, so a child can stay reachable without carrying a phone. An active data plan is required for LTE features, and coverage depends on the network.
The watch has a 1.2 in (30.4 mm) diagonal AMOLED touchscreen at 390 x 390 pixels behind a chemically strengthened glass lens. Bezel and case are fiber-reinforced polymer, the strap is silicone, and the watch measures 43 x 43 x 12.4 mm and weighs 26.5 g on its own or 40.4 g with the band fitted. A speaker and microphone are built in.
Battery life is up to 2 days between charges, using a Garmin proprietary plug charger, and the watch holds 4 GB of memory. A 5 ATM water rating means it can stay on for swimming and washing up.
This is the second-generation Bounce and a separate model from the original Garmin Bounce, with its own part numbers and hardware.
Compatibility: the band fits wrists from 115 mm to 180 mm. LTE features require an active subscription plan; parent controls and setup are handled from a parent’s smartphone.
