The 18 mm quick-release size is Garmin’s smallest mainstream lug width – the one used by the S-cased Venu and vivoactive watches, the vivomove 3S and the small Forerunner 255S and 265S.
Quick-release bands use a spring bar with a small sliding lever on the underside. Push the lever with a fingernail, the bar retracts and the band comes off; there is no spring-bar tool and nothing to lose on the floor. It is the mount Garmin uses across the vivoactive, Venu, vivomove, Forerunner and Approach lines.
Fourteen options are listed here across three materials. Silicone covers training and water; ComfortFit fabric is a softer woven band for all-day and overnight wear; the Light Sand leather is the dress option. Several silicone bands are specified by their hardware finish as well as the strap colour, because on a small case the buckle is a large part of what you see.
