Jugs Protector Blue Series Short-Toss Protective Screen
Built for the front-toss position: 7 ft. high, 4 ft. wide, solid net with no cutout. The detail that separates it from every other screen here is the overhang at the top of the frame, which Jugs adds to knock down balls that ricochet back over a flat screen at a feeder sitting close to the plate.
Construction is 1.5 in. diameter 1020 cold-rolled steel tubing at a 1.2 mm wall, bolted joints, 60 ply double-thick Dacron poly-E netting, and half-inch pearl-foam padding under blue vinyl. The 4 ft. width is what makes it work inside a cage tunnel, where a wider panel would crowd the hitter. The Protector Series Short-Toss Screen covers the same position on the heavier 2 mm black frame with 691-90 ply netting. For fungo and group work, the Protector Blue Series 8-Foot Screen is the same series at 8 ft. by 8 ft.
