The setting of this painting seems one in a village in Jaffna. The lady is dressed in a beautiful saree, the males in their comfortable sarongs. Life in the village is carefree and simple. Here a coconut seller stops to mingle with the couple.
The colors of the clothes are bright and alive. The fruit is a ripe green, the harvest is good this time around. The artist has beautifully brought to life a moment in time.
