This Maretron Mid Double-Ended Cordset connects NMEA 2000 devices along a network backbone or drop line, built with brass contacts and gold plating on the coupling nut for a reliable, corrosion-resistant connection. A thermoplastic PUR molded body and blue-gray jacket give the cordset genuine durability in a wet marine environment while keeping Maretron’s standard color coding consistent across the network. That color coding makes it easy to identify a Maretron run at a glance among the rest of a boat’s wiring.
Electrically, it’s rated for 4.0 amps and 250 volts, well within the range NMEA 2000 devices actually draw, so there’s no concern about the cordset being a bottleneck on the network. The cable itself carries 2×16 AWG conductors for the power pair and 2×20 AWG conductors for the data pair, matching the standard NMEA 2000 wiring specification. That standard sizing means it plugs into any compliant network without modification.
This version measures 2 meters in length, a common size for connecting a device that sits a moderate distance from the nearest backbone tee. Maretron cordsets are sold individually. Confirming the exact length needed against the actual run before ordering avoids ending up with a cable that’s too short to reach. Browse more marine networking.
