The Shearwater Tern is a watch-style dive computer built for recreational scuba diving and freediving, with Air, Nitrox, 3 Gas Nitrox, Gauge, and Freedive modes covered in one unit. Its 1.3-inch full-color AMOLED display runs at 360 x 360 resolution, protected by toughened alkali-aluminosilicate glass with a screen protector already installed from the factory. The Tern runs the Buhlmann ZHL-16C algorithm with gradient factors, is rated to 120 m / 394 ft, and its rechargeable battery gives up to 20 hours of dive time on the included wireless charging station.
This package adds the Shearwater EVA Case, a zippered carrying case sized for the Teric, Perdix, Petrel, Peregrine, and Tern. Ballistic nylon on the outside and anti-shock EVA padding on the inside keep the computer protected in a dive bag or on a shelf between trips. Since the Tern’s factory screen protector wears down with regular use, the bundle also includes the Shearwater Tern Screen Protector Kit, with two die-cut PET protectors sized for the Tern and Tern TX plus a microfiber cloth, dust absorber sticker, dry and wet wipes, and a squeegee for a clean application.
Together these three pieces cover the Tern from the display down: a dive computer built around a proven algorithm and five dive modes, a case to protect it in transit and storage, and spare screen protection to keep the display scratch-free as the factory-installed one ages.
