The Spyderco Native Chief Lightweight in Blue FRN holds a satin-finished 4.02-inch CPM S110V drop point blade with a lockback, made in the USA.
CPM S110V is an extreme powder steel, prized for edge retention that ranks among the very best of any production knife steel currently available, a meaningful step above even premium alloys like S30V. Spyderco’s own signature round hole, cut directly into the blade, lets a thumb deploy the knife with fast one-handed speed even on a blade of this size. The blue FRN handle keeps this lightweight folder easy to carry all day despite its substantial 4.02-inch blade.
A lockback secures the blade open with a spine-mounted release, long considered one of the most trusted traditional locking mechanisms because of how much force it takes to fail. Made entirely in the USA with careful attention to fit and finish. The Native Chief Lightweight brings premium steel options to Spyderco’s broader everyday carry lineup. Spyderco continues to offer the whole Native Chief line across multiple handle materials and steel options for different buyers. Explore more Lockback Knives.
