The TACO 4-LED Deck Light is a low-profile flat-mount fixture giving 700 lumens across a 100-degree beam at 10 watts.
Ten watts matching a 55-watt halogen flood is the comparison worth making, and the difference is where the saving is. Replacing halogen deck lighting cuts the draw by roughly four fifths, which on a boat running lights while working at night changes what the bank can support.
A hundred-degree beam is wide coverage for the fixture’s size, throwing light across an area rather than a spot. That suits a hard top, a console, a cabin or under the gunnel, where a narrow beam would leave most of the space dark.
Low-profile flat mounting works where a bulky fixture would foul a hatch or catch a head. It runs on both 12 and 24 volt systems, so it is not locked to one electrical arrangement. Explore more interior and courtesy lights.
